My Story

Hello and welcome to my website. I’m Dr. Sharon McKarns, the founder of McKarns & Associates, a practice management advisory firm specializing in working with small and mid-sized businesses in the healthcare industry. Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work in various settings and roles including ENT, private practice, not-for-profit, university teaching, hospitals, and manufacturing. It was during the last 10 years that I truly discovered my passion for helping practitioners like you grow their businesses.

Every day, I had the privilege of working with you to grow your practices and witnessing the incredible impact you were making on the lives of hearing-impaired individuals. It was inspiring to see the dedication and care you put into your work. However, I also noticed a pattern of common concerns that many of you shared.
